This pesto recipe is quick and easy to make and is packed full of flavour. Pesto is a versatile sauce that can be used with lots of other foods.
Serves 4
3 large handfuls of fresh basil
1 large handful of pine nuts
1 large clove of garlic
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 oz/25 grams of parmesan (or similar) cheese
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until you have a smooth puree.
Add the pesto to pasta, fish or chicken for a delicious italian taste.
